Technical Support Engineer

Salary: £25000 - £30000 per annum

Job type: Permanent

We looking for a 3rd line support consultant to join our team based in Crowthorne.

You will be involved in doing 1st to 3rd line support for our clients growing base of customers all within a Microsoft and Linux environment. This will include giving telephone, remote, email and the occasional face to face support.

Key Skills

·         Microsoft Windows Server

·         Linux (Redhat/SuSE)

·         VMware

·         SQL Server Enterprise

·         Exchange

The correct individual will have at least three years’ experience working within an IT support environment. You will have excellent knowledge of Windows desktop systems (XP, Vista and 7) along with Server experience (2003 & 2008) and experience of virtualisation and thin clients (VMware). Further knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP and firewalls would also be beneficial. If you have industry related certification such as a VCP, MCITP or MCSE then this would also be looked upon favourably. As you will be working in a team environment and dealing with clients' customers then your communication skills must be excellent.
